What I do at Jump

I invest in enterprise software companies across AI, cybersecurity, and modern infrastructure. I’m especially drawn to founders tackling operational problems that large organizations have learned to work around instead of solve.

Most of my time is spent with companies early in their journey, when there’s strong founder conviction, early customer pull, and a product that’s starting to click, but the path to repeatable growth is still taking shape. That’s usually where I can be most helpful.

I work closely with founders on positioning, customer definition, and building a go-to-market motion that can scale beyond founder-led sales and early design partners. The goal is to help turn early traction into a durable business without losing what made the company compelling in the first place.

As a former operator, I try to bring empathy, candor, and a willingness to have honest conversations when something isn’t working.

I’m drawn to technical founders building in AI infrastructure, data tooling, and security.

I like conversations that get specific quickly: where the wedge is, what’s repeatable today versus still heavily manual, and how the product will stand up once it’s deployed across real customers and real environments.

I came into venture after years as an operator, which gave me a strong bias toward what survives contact with customers, not just what sounds compelling in a pitch.

Backstory

Before Jump, I was the CEO of Food Genius, a foodservice data and analytics company acquired by US Foods. Earlier in my career, I worked across startups and larger organizations, including Redbox and AAR, primarily building and scaling products in complex B2B environments.

Those experiences still shape how I work with founders today. Having operated in both startups and large enterprises, I spend a lot of time thinking about how products are positioned, how companies break into markets, and what it actually takes to build and scale within complex organizations.
